National Night Out – August 1

National Night Out is a crime prevention event sponsored by National Association of Town Watch. This is a community building campaign that promotes a good relationship between the community and the police.  There will be games, bounce houses, safety resources, face painting and more!  Great

Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop – August 5

Below Bagnell Dam, Lake Ozark

10 am – 1 pm (Ducks Drop at Noon)duck drop

What’s more fun than a rubber ducky?  How about hundreds of them dropped from a helicopter? With PRIZES??! If you have sponsored the first duck to cross the finish line, you win $5,000! 10 more ducks will win prizes, too.

Come early (10 am) to the FunZone and enjoy games, dunking booth, bounce houses, martial arts and dance demonstrations, food and prizes (wristbands are FREE). You can purchase Duck Drop tickets ($5 each) at the FunZone until 11 am. Then its just a short walk to the DuckDrop.

Midwest Wine & Brew Festival – August 19

Lodge of the Four Seasons – 315 Four Seasons Dr., Lake Ozarklake of the ozarks wine and brew fest

2 pm – 5 pm  $20 at the Door

Much anticipated yearly festival where wineries and breweries from across the state provide samples to guests, along with vendors and restaurants from the Lake Ozark area. Live entertainment will be provided throughout the event.  Bring a designated driver!

Lake of the Ozarks Shootout – August 26 & 27

According to Powerboat Magazine, the Shootout is one of the nation’s “MUST SEE” boating events! The Shootout is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the US. This event raises funds for 8 Lake-area rescue teams and many more charitable organizations.

There is nothing like watching fireworks over the lake.  Everyone loves to spend July 4th here, and there are displays going on around the lake for a whole week. Make this a family tradition!

YMCA Annual Three Rivers Run – July 19

Starts at 8 am

Have the adventure of a lifetime on your PWC!! Start at Bagnell Dam and travel up the Osage River, the Missouri River, and then the Mississippi River to end at the St. Louis Arch! The entry fee is $750 (additional $100 for extra rider on PWC) per rider and raffle tickets will be sold.  This event benefits the Tri-County YMCA of the Ozarks.  All gas, oil and lunch will be provided.  Note: you will be responsible for getting your PWC to the starting point, and home from the St. Louis arch.
