Dress warm and get ready to view eagles and other birds of prey in the wild and see presentations by World Bird Sanctuary and Dickerson Park Zoo.  This is a hugely popular winter event here at the lake!  Bring binoculars and cameras for optimal viewing and photographing.  Various activities make a great and fun learning experience.

Don’t miss this free event (though canned goods for the Lamb House are encouraged) on the Camdenton Square, in front of the courthouse.  The 5K Running of the Elves (this event does cost) begins at 9:30 am…at 10:30 the other activities begin, including games, ornament making, chocolate snowmen, prize drawings, craft tables, music, cooking decorating, petting zoo, hot dogs, and so much more!  Santa, himself, will arrive at 11:30!!  This event is so much fun and is anticipated by the kids all year long!

This is a wonderful benefit sponsored by Kiwanis Club, Christmas for Kids committee and Lake Area Businesses.  All proceeds benefit underprivileged children in the Lake of the Ozarks area, LOSA, Wonderland Camp, Hope House, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Lake Reg. Pediatrics, YMCA, Share the Harvest Food Pantry and Kid’s Harbor.

Enjoy a 3-course dinner, drink station, excellent silent auction and entertainment.  Each person attending is asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy with a value of $20 or give a $20 cash donation at the door.

Cost for tickets is $70 per person.  RSVP your table today!  You must be 21 to enter!

Lake Ozark Christmas Parade – Dec 9

Saturday – 3 pm – 5 pm

This year’s parade theme is “A Musically Magical Christmas”.  Lineup will start at HH & Bagnell Dam Blvd and will proceed down the strip to the Dam.

Following the parade, Santa will greet children and families for a bonfire at Two Bit Town.  There will be treats for the kids, hot chocolate, coffee and refreshments and music.

This is Eldon’s first EVER electric Christmas parade!  Parade begins downtown and ends at Rock Island Park where there will be a tree lighting ceremony.  Come out and see Santa, marching bands, EHS choir and more!

 Called “Woodstock on Wheels” this event allows you to party safely by taking buses from participating hotels to all the participating entertainment establishments.  Each location will have a live band with different music genres.  One $10.00 cost gets you access to all 10 locations and a safe ride home!!

This fun nighttime parade issues in the lighted fantasy of Christmas time.  Parade begins at the Central Bank in Laurie and travels north on Hwy 5 to the Terrace Mall.  Santa will be on a float and will go inside the mall to visit with the kids.  Don’t miss this special, holiday parade!

Don’t miss this free community event!  Sponsor vendors, food vendors and all sorts of surprises.  Watch as Firefighting Teams from all over the country and Canada compete in firefighting competitive skills, including a 5-story tower climb, hoisting, chopping and rescuing.  There will also be a kid challenge.

In remembrance of those that sacrificed their lives on 9/11/01, Surdyke’s is hosting a PWC Ride For Freedom from Surdyke’s Port 20 to Truman Dam and back! This is a free event that starts with a continental breakfast.  There will be frequent stops along the way for fuel and food and it will end with a dinner at Surdyke’s Port 20.  There will be prizes for the best patriotic outfit and the best decorated PWC.  You must pre-register to participate in this fun event.  Lake Area first responders will be offered a free PWC to use.  You are responsible for your own fuel fill-ups.

National Night Out is a crime prevention event sponsored by National Association of Town Watch. This is a community building campaign that promotes a good relationship between the community and the police.  There will be games, bounce houses, safety resources, face painting and more!  Great

What’s more fun than a rubber ducky?  How about hundreds of them dropped from a helicopter? With PRIZES??! If you have sponsored the first duck to cross the finish line, you win $5,000! 10 more ducks will win prizes, too.

Come early (10 am) to the FunZone and enjoy games, dunking booth, bounce houses, martial arts and dance demonstrations, food and prizes (wristbands are FREE). You can purchase Duck Drop tickets ($5 each) at the FunZone until 11 am. Then its just a short walk to the DuckDrop.

YMCA Annual Three Rivers Run – July 19

Starts at 8 am

Have the adventure of a lifetime on your PWC!! Start at Bagnell Dam and travel up the Osage River, the Missouri River, and then the Mississippi River to end at the St. Louis Arch! The entry fee is $750 (additional $100 for extra rider on PWC) per rider and raffle tickets will be sold.  This event benefits the Tri-County YMCA of the Ozarks.  All gas, oil and lunch will be provided.  Note: you will be responsible for getting your PWC to the starting point, and home from the St. Louis arch.
